Headline:

Dry, bright and chilly in southern and eastern areas.

Today:

Most places dry and chilly with broken cloud and some brighter spells. Mist or fog patches may linger in eastern counties. A little drizzle is possible over northwestern hills of Scotland where freshening southwesterly winds will bring slightly milder air.

Tonight:

Dry and frosty across many areas of England, Wales, eastern Scotland and Northern Ireland with some fog patches forming. Milder and breezier over western Scotland with cloud and some drizzle.

Friday:

Dry with broken cloud and bright spells in the south and east, cloudier and breezier over western Scotland.
